  • From Southern Herkimer County and the NYS Thruway, it is about 45 minutes in either direction to the Adirondack community of Old Forge or to Cooperstown, the home of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. The Southern Adirondack Trail Scenic Byway stretches from Little Falls and Herkimer to Old Forge and points beyond and makes for an enjoyable, scenic automobile ride, and for the more fit and adventurous, a great bike ride. •
